Ubuntu Rising Scholars Academy
Welcome to the Ubuntu Program!
If you have experienced the impact of the justice system, homelessness, the foster care system, or had lived experience with substance use—either personally or within your family—you’ve found the right place. The Ubuntu Program is designed to support students in our POD (Project Open Doors), PSS (Peer Support Specialist), or SUD (Substance Use Disorder) programs. Our mission is to provide you with a comprehensive range of resources and services to help you succeed.
Our program offers individualized support, addressing the unique challenges faced by students like you. Whether you’re seeking job placement assistance, need help with housing, or are looking for mental health therapy resources, our Ubuntu team is dedicated to guiding you. We understand the complexities that come with being justice-impacted, experiencing homelessness, navigating the foster system, or overcoming substance use challenges, and we’re committed to helping you overcome these barriers.
Ubuntu is more than just a program; it’s a community. We believe in the power of collective support and recognize that every student’s journey is unique. Our team works closely with each individual to identify specific needs and connect you with the right resources, whether it’s career counseling, academic support, legal aid, or health and wellness services.
At Ubuntu, we embrace the African philosophy that “I am because we are.” We believe in creating an environment where you feel valued, heard, and empowered. Our goal is to ensure that you have the tools and support necessary to achieve your personal and professional goals.
Join the Ubuntu Program today and take the first step toward a brighter future. We’re here for you every step of the way.
